In cooperation with profesional psychologist, actor and musician i try to reach archetype of this profesion, in site specific space.
The exhibition Fields and Roles on our Scene in ABC Gallery was in fact my diploma thesis. I haven’t had many space possibilities were to realize this work – I had a choice between two gallery spaces and this one in ABC was more suitable for my goals.
The topics wherewith I worked mirrored my motivation at the same time – all of the elements I touched in this work are main areas of my artistic interest – theatre, interactivity (sport’s elements – scenography with the soccer goal – what anticipates participation), performative elements, text, psychoanalysis. And collaboration in general – I worked with a real people in a real-time, these people are my friends or persons who I randomly met before this project and I knew they will perfectly fit into my idea and purpose.
My primary motivation was to explore psychoanalysis and its practices, in connection to the elements of theatrical and performative acts. I invited two persons – one was a real transgender psychiatrist and mental specialist, who was paid for his participation and made his real work, another one was my friend, who was willing to share her mental issues publicly. Their common session in the second part of the show was partly a real psychoanalytical act, they met for the first time at that place.
In the first part of the show, the attention was focused on my colleague from theatre NUDE Lýdia Ondrušová. We cooperate together on one theatrical piece, from which she performed the replicas, which were authentic, but with my intervention into it. I appropriated the replicas and re-used them as a kind of ready-made.
The important moment was that the auditorium wasn't oriented into the interior of the space, as would be normally expected, but the viewers sat facing the street, seeing the random life outside and at the same time perceive what was happening inside. The whole course of events inside was at a glance unpredictable and spontaneous, but in fact, everything was directed by me, but only in a rough frame. The whole story was kind of a generative act.
What was also important in the space was a TV monitor, where I use projection with hashtags. These hashtags presented names of authors whose work inspired my thesis. I used this hashtag form of communication as something that I really like, which has a symbolic and narrative value at the same time.
